Privacy Statement

Effective Date: January 1, 2018

This privacy policy explains how foreverID handles your personal information and data. We value your trust, so we’ve strived to present this policy in clear, plain language instead of legalese.

  • First and foremost, please know that we will never, ever share your contact details with anyone — whether business or personal details, or whether fields are set to public or not. You are the only person that shares your details with the people you meet.
  • Fields not set to Private (aka Public fields) can only be downloaded by someone who either scanned your foreverID QR Code or has your 11-digit foreverID and your last name. So it is possible that people you meet and receive your foreverID details can share your Public fields with others by sharing with them your 11-digit ID and last name or your QR code.
  • Remember that fields set to Private can only be shared with people in your network who send you a request to share your private fields and then only if you choose to accept their request.
Security Statement

We make it a priority to take our users’ security and privacy concerns seriously. We strive to ensure that user data is handled securely. foreverID uses some of the most advanced technology for Internet security that is commercially available today. This Security Statement is aimed at being transparent about our security infrastructure and practices to help reassure you that your data is appropriately protected. Refer to our Privacy Statement for more information on data handling.

  • Authentication: User data on our database is logically segregated by account-based access rules. User accounts have unique usernames and passwords that must be entered each time a user logs on. foreverID issues a session cookie only to record encrypted authentication information for the duration of a specific session. The session cookie does not include the password of the user.
  • Passwords: User application passwords have minimum complexity requirements. Passwords are individually salted and hashed.
  • Data Encryption: Certain sensitive user data, such as credit card details and account passwords, are stored in encrypted format.
  • Privacy: We have a comprehensive privacy policy that provides a very transparent view of how we handle your data, including how we use your data, who we share it with, and how long we retain it.
  • Data Residency: All foreverID user data is stored on Amazon Web Services zones located in the United States.
